The Great Stripping-

The past 5 years have been very difficult as God has allowed much to be stripped away from us. He’s shaken things to separate the wheat from the tares. It’s been extremely painful, but the beauty He’s producing from the ashes is worth it. The deepness in Him is worth it.

Each year has in many ways been harder than the year before, but as we’ve gotten stronger, we’re able to withstand the storms when we press into Jesus. We’re not even halfway through this year and there’s been major betrayal, rejection, lost relationships, and heartbreak in many of our lives. But God! When we think we can’t go on, He gently leads us to Him. The one who comforts, has the answers, and wants to be our ultimate guide. He wants to lead us and be our all in all. He doesn’t want the busyness, the platforms, or anything that’s not of Him. We need to be more like Mary, sitting at His feet. It doesn’t mean we do nothing, but it must be led by Him!

Jesus said He only did what the Father said. That’s where He wants us! I don’t want anything apart from Him. If it isn’t Him, I don’t want it. I’d rather spend time in the secret place than go from one thing to the next. Sometimes there’s a place for that as we fight for God’s purposes, but I find that the more I seek His face, He fights my battles and opens the doors no man can open. He brings the strategy when we seek Him and He does all of it far better than we can. I’ve had people ask me how certain things have happened in my life and I tell them I prayed and He brought the strategy and the favor. He wants to do this for all of us! Imagine a church that truly lived like this and what we could accomplish for His Kingdom!! When the cares of this world overwhelm you, I want to encourage you to go to the secret place and seek Jesus. He will bring you peace and He will fight your battles far better than we can.
